Frequently Asked Questions on Roda's Mobile Auto Repair Services
Formerly known as CarCare To Go, our name recently changed, but our outstanding service has not. Have a question or a concern not listed below? Use the form below to send us a message and a member of the team will get back to you shortly.
Is the valet really free?
Yes! We provide complimentary pick-up and delivery from your home or office within about 15 miles of our service center in Rockville. For more information on Roda service, check out our How it Works page.
What if my car won’t start, or has a flat tire?
We offer an additional rescue service where our valet can assist with a jumpstart or tire fix, or can help arrange a tow. Just call if it’s an emergency, or mention the need to add a rescue when you book. (Bonus: AAA Members can save an additional 10% off services up to $75.)
How do I know I’m getting a reasonable price?
There is NO mark-up for services provided during valet appointments. The prices are the same whether we do the driving or you drop-off and pick-up your vehicle. We offer below-market prices on standard maintenance like oil changes and competitive rates on all major repairs (importantly, with transparency and pre-approval on all repairs!).
Plus, you have the ultimate protection: if you choose not to have any work done, we’ll return the car to you without charge. Here are more details on pricing.
How long will you keep my car?
Routine maintenance such as oil changes or alignments are typically same day services if we have your car at the shop by noon. If more complicated repairs require additional time, your Client Experience Manager (CEM) will be in touch with details around the work needed and estimated timing. As always, you choose how to proceed. We will always work to fit your schedule so let us know if you have any specific times when you need your vehicle back.
How far away will you come to pick-up my car?
We serve DC and the entire DMV within a radius of about 15 miles from our service center in Rockville, MD. Not sure if you’re close enough? Schedule an appointment or give us a call and we’ll do our best to make it work. Remember, we'll also pick up at your office or another location outside your home if you arrange for pick-up at another location that is within our standard service area.
Do you provide warranty on work done?
Yes. The Roda Guarantee that comes with all our work covers you for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
Who works on my car?
Our technicians are expertly trained, many of which are Master Technicians.
Do you handle warranty and recall work?
This depends on the work required, often we may refer you to a dealership if they have a direct relationship with the manufacturer.
Do you handle body work?
Not currently, but we’re happy to make suggestions for your area if we’re able.
What about germs?
No more sitting in a stale waiting room hoping for your car to be finished sooner than expected. Our drivers and staff follow the latest CDC recommended or local public health guidelines to prevent the spread of disease, and do a last wipe down before returning your vehicle. If you have any additional allergy concerns, or detail requests, just let us know!
What if something happens to my car during transportation?
In the unlikely event that your vehicle is damaged while in our possession, we’ll fix it. We take images of your car before taking it into the shop to help identify any issues. Our drivers, technicians, and overall business are insured.
Can you install parts I've already purchased?
Unfortunately, we are unable to use client-provided parts. We're happy to use manufacturer or high quality aftermarket parts based on your preference.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Roda accepts Visa, Mastercard and Amex as forms of payment. We do not accept cash.
